Smoltek Semi has entered a partnership with Business Sweden to reconnect with Japanese semiconductor industry players amid Japan's substantial investments in its semiconductor sector. The Japanese government has allocated over JPY 3.9 trillion (approximately EUR 24-26 billion) for semiconductor manufacturing and R&D, aimed at revitalizing its industrial ecosystem through the late 2020s.
Companies like Kyocera-AVX, Murata, and TDK are seeking advanced technologies, aligning with Smoltek's CNF-MIM capacitor technology. The ongoing industrial policy shift in Japan presents an opportunity for Smoltek to establish technology agreements, enhancing competitiveness in AI and high-performance computing applications. This collaboration may enable Smoltek to leverage Japan's strengths in semiconductor materials and precision manufacturing.
