Spark Microsystems Secures CAD $17M Series B Funding for LE-UWB Technology Expansion
Montreal-based Spark Microsystems raised CAD $17 million in Series B funding, co-led by Idealist Capital and Real Ventures. The funds will be used to expand operations and enhance development of their LE-UWB technology, aimed at short-range wireless communication for various applications including consumer electronics, industrial sensors, and medical devices.

Spark Microsystems, a fabless semiconductor company based in Montreal, Canada, has successfully raised CAD $17 million in Series B funding, co-led by Idealist Capital and Real Ventures, with participation from Cycle Capital, ND Capital, and EDC. The investment will support the expansion and commercialization of Spark's LE-UWB technology for short-range wireless communication, targeting applications such as AI wearables, AR/VR headsets, gaming peripherals, industrial sensors, and smart buildings. The company aims to address the growing demand for low-latency, high-performance wireless solutions in power-constrained environments.
