STAK Energy Corp. Seeks 50-Year Lease for Natural Gas Data Center in Alaska
STAK Energy Corp. has applied for a 50-year lease to develop a natural gas-powered data center in Alaska, which includes high-performance computing facilities and associated infrastructure. The project aims to utilize local natural gas reserves efficiently while minimizing environmental impact during construction and operation.

STAK Energy Corp. has submitted a revised application for a 50-year state land lease to develop a natural gas-powered data center on Alaska's North Slope, occupying approximately 715 acres. The facility will include high-performance computing systems, power generation units with a capacity of 1-3 GW, and ancillary support structures, all designed to reduce the environmental footprint.
The project aims to use ambient air for cooling, significantly lowering water consumption compared to traditional data centers. STAK plans to hire local workers and collaborate with regional organizations to develop local talent. This development could enhance the utilization of North Slope gas reserves while providing substantial computing capacity.
