Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority Seeks Funding for New Operations Center in Ceres
Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA) is applying for a $25 million grant to build a new Operations and Maintenance Facility in Ceres. The facility aims to support the agency's transition to zero-emission buses. The project is currently about 80% funded and requires city approval and completion of environmental studies. Meanwhile, Grand Ledge Area Emergency Services Authority is proposing a $22.59 million bond for new fire facilities and equipment in Grand Ledge and Oneida Township, following a facility assessment highlighting significant issues with the current fire station.

Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA) is pursuing $25 million in grant funding to construct a new Operations and Maintenance Facility in Ceres, having previously applied unsuccessfully two years ago. The project is 80% funded and includes upgrades to Service Road.
StanRTA recently purchased land for $9 million to accommodate the facility, which is necessary for transitioning to zero-emission buses. Additionally, the Grand Ledge Area Emergency Services Authority proposes a $22.59 million bond to build a new fire station and substation, addressing significant issues identified in the existing facility. The bond would be repaid over 20 years through a 3.04 mill levy.
