STMicroelectronics has finalized its acquisition of NXP Semiconductors' MEMS sensors business after receiving regulatory approval. Initially announced in July 2025, this acquisition enhances STMicroelectronics' capabilities in automotive safety products and industrial sensors.

The company anticipates that the acquired business will contribute approximately $40 million to its revenues in Q1 2026. This deal strengthens STMicroelectronics' position in the automotive safety sensor market and broadens its product offerings for customers in both automotive and industrial sectors.
