SUTD Launches $35 Million Initiative for Startup Development
The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) has initiated a $35 million program to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among its students and alumni. Named Design·AI Innovation and Venture Exploration (DIVE), this initiative includes grants, internships, and a mentorship network aimed at enhancing practical skills in a rapidly evolving job market.

SUTD's DIVE initiative, launched on April 17, allocates $35 million to support student and alumni entrepreneurship through grants and mentorship. Key components include the Baby Shark Fund for early prototypes and the Design-2-Venture Grant for market-ready products, available to undergraduates and recent alumni.
Global Innovation Internships will place students in tech hubs like Stockholm, Toronto, Hangzhou, and the Greater Bay Area, enhancing their industry exposure in sectors such as semiconductors and robotics. The program emphasizes hands-on experience with AI in a supported environment, building a bridge between academic knowledge and practical application. This initiative responds to the need for skills development amid AI advancements, ensuring graduates are equipped with essential competencies like creative thinking and adaptability.
