Syria and Jordan Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation Agreements
Syria and Jordan have formalized agreements to enhance collaboration across multiple sectors, including energy and trade. The resumption of natural gas supplies and new trade facilitation measures highlight their commitment to economic synergy.

Syria and Jordan signed several agreements on April 12 to enhance bilateral cooperation, co-chaired by senior officials during the Syrian-Jordanian Higher Coordination Council in Amman. The agreement includes resuming natural gas supplies to Syria, with deliveries expected to commence within two days post-technical preparations.
The two nations plan to implement trade facilitation measures starting May 1, aiming to improve trade and investment. They also agreed to enhance cooperation in the transport sector, address shared water challenges through joint committees, and expand collaboration in education, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, and public sector development. This cooperation may lead to increased economic stability in the region.
