The Talbot Wharf Skills Academy is enhancing vocational training for young people in Port Talbot while aiding Tata Steel UK's transition to Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steelmaking. JES Group Ltd is a key partner in this effort, employing over 100 staff and expanding into renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

The Academy, established in 2023, offers TWI-certified training in welding and fabrication. During visits from David Chadwick MP and educator Dean Ronan, the Academy's support for at-risk learners through the Cynnydd project was highlighted. The focus on practical education aims to provide clear pathways to employment in both steel and renewable energy sectors.
