Tauron Ciepło Initiates 3.58 MW Solar Farm at Bielsko-Biała CHP Site to Cut CO₂ Emissions
Tauron Ciepło has started constructing a 3.58 MW solar farm on the site of a former CHP plant in Bielsko-Biała. This project aims to reduce CO₂ emissions by over 2,200 tonnes annually. Preparations are underway, with all necessary permits acquired. The solar farm will cater primarily to the needs of the Bielsko-Biała CHP plant, with excess energy supplied to the national grid. The project, valued at over PLN 8 million, includes funding from the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection and is expected to be operational by the end of 2026.

Tauron Ciepło has commenced the construction of a 3.58 MW solar farm on the site of a former CHP plant in Bielsko-Biała. This installation aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 2,200 tonnes annually.
Preparatory work is in progress with all required permits secured. Most generated electricity will be utilized for the Bielsko-Biała CHP plant's operations, with any surplus redirected to the national power grid.
The project, valued at over PLN 8 million, is partly financed by a preferential loan from the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection. It is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2026.
