POWER GRIDS & TRANSMISSION

Tauron Ciepło has commenced the construction of a 3.58 MW solar farm on the site of a former CHP plant in Bielsko-Biała. This installation aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 2,200 tonnes annually.

Preparatory work is in progress with all required permits secured. Most generated electricity will be utilized for the Bielsko-Biała CHP plant's operations, with any surplus redirected to the national power grid.

The project, valued at over PLN 8 million, is partly financed by a preferential loan from the Voivodeship Fund for Environmental Protection. It is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2026.
