TCN Announces Power Outage in Lagos for Line Maintenance on March 14
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will temporarily cut power to parts of Lagos on March 14 for maintenance work. The outage will affect the Akangba-Ojo 132kV Line II from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., as contractors install a Capacitive Voltage Transformer (CVT) at the Apapa Gas Insulated Substation. Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) will be unable to supply electricity to Apapa, Kirikiri, Satellite Town, and nearby areas during this period.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) will interrupt electricity supply in parts of Lagos on March 14 to facilitate maintenance on the Akangba-Ojo 132kV Line II. The outage is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. to allow for the installation of a Capacitive Voltage Transformer (CVT) as part of rehabilitation efforts at the Apapa Gas Insulated Substation.
During this maintenance, Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) will not be able to distribute power to customers in Apapa, Kirikiri, Satellite Town, and surrounding areas. TCN has expressed apologies for any inconvenience caused.
