Texas Biomed Partners with U.S. Department of War to Enhance Biodefense

This collaboration aims to expedite the development of medical countermeasures and improve national preparedness in response to emerging biological risks.

Texas Biomedical Research Institute entered a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with the U.S. Department of War, focusing on medical countermeasures for biological threats. This partnership with the Capability Program Executive for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense will enhance the development and testing of biodefense strategies for both military and civilian populations.
The framework aims to ensure readiness against both naturally occurring and engineered biological risks.
