Texas Industrial Expansion Creates Opportunities for Querétaro
Texas's industrial growth, with significant investments in sectors like semiconductors and automotive, presents new business opportunities for Querétaro, which has established capabilities in manufacturing and technology services. As Querétaro's exports to the U.S. remain strong, local businesses can leverage this expansion to enhance their operational reach in North America.

Texas has announced substantial investments totaling billions in sectors such as automotive assembly and semiconductor manufacturing. Noteworthy projects include Toyota's $3.6 billion investment for a new assembly line in San Antonio, expected to create 2,000 jobs, and Texas Instruments' $700 million expansion in Richardson.
These developments are anticipated to increase demand for suppliers and professionals from Querétaro, which reported $4.66 billion in exports in early 2026, a 14.5% annual increase. The Semiconductor Industry Association noted over 160 announced projects across 30 states since 2020, totaling private investments exceeding $920 billion.
Querétaro's industrial profile, including automation and semiconductor manufacturing, positions it favorably for collaboration with these Texas projects. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts over 317,000 annual job vacancies in computing and IT-related occupations from 2024 to 2034, providing further opportunities for Querétaro's skilled workforce.
