Texchem Reports 126.4% Increase in Q2 Profit Driven by Industrial Demand and Food Sector Recovery
Texchem Resources Berhad's profit before tax for Q2 2026 surged 126.4% to RM12.0 million, with revenue reaching RM309.5 million. The performance highlights strong recovery in industrial sectors and a turnaround in the food division, essential for future growth.

For the second quarter ending June 30, 2026, Texchem Resources Berhad recorded a revenue of RM309.5 million, an 8.8% increase from RM284.4 million the previous year. Profit before tax (PBT) rose to RM12.0 million, up 126.4% from RM5.3 million, while profit after tax (PAT) increased fivefold to RM8 million from RM1.5 million.
The Industrial Division led growth with RM149.5 million in revenue, bolstered by inventory building amidst supply chain challenges. The Food Division returned to profitability, generating RM42.4 million in revenue.
Texchem's restructuring efforts, including ceasing operations of Texchem Marine Labutta Limited, aim to enhance overall profitability. Continued demand from the semiconductor sector supports positive earnings outlook.
