The People's Party leader, Natthaphong Ruengpanyawut, has proposed that President Emmanuel Macron stop in Thailand prior to his planned visit to Cambodia in November to facilitate discussions on border issues and attract foreign investment.
This visit coincides with the 170th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and France, emphasizing trade and investment, energy, transport, and defense. Potential outcomes include increased international support for Thailand's governance reform efforts and enhanced energy policy collaboration, particularly in low-carbon electricity generation.
