Topsoe to Provide Hydroflex® Technology for Tangshan Jinlihai's Sustainable Aviation Fuel Project in China
Topsoe will supply its Hydroflex® technology to Tangshan Jinlihai Biotechnology for a sustainable aviation fuel project in China, which will have an annual feedstock capacity of 300,000 tons and aims to reduce CO2e emissions by approximately 700,000 metric tons annually. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026, with operations expected to start in 2028, supported by a $210 million investment. This project represents Topsoe's sixth SAF contract in China, enhancing its presence in the region.

Topsoe has been chosen by Tangshan Jinlihai Biotechnology to supply its Hydroflex® technology for a sustainable aviation fuel project at the Tangshan Jinlihai industrial hub, with an annual feedstock capacity of 300,000 tons. Once operational, this project aims to avoid approximately 700,000 metric tons of CO2e emissions annually.
The initiative aligns with China’s dual carbon strategy and is expected to leverage waste oil as feedstock. Construction is set to begin in the second half of 2026, with operations starting in the second half of 2028, supported by an investment of approximately USD 210 million. This marks Topsoe's sixth SAF contract in China, building on its expanding presence in the region.
