Tosyali Holding Projects 42.5% Steel Production Increase to 13 Million Metric Tons by 2025
Tosyali Holding anticipates steel production will exceed 13 million metric tons in 2025, a 42.5% increase from 2024's 9.12 million metric tons. The projected turnover is $9 billion. The company, the third-largest steel producer in Europe and Turkey's leading producer, has invested over $6 billion in capacity expansion, sustainable development, and technology upgrades. Key projects include the Iskenderun expansion in Turkey, direct reduced iron facilities in Algeria, and a major complex in Benghazi, Libya, despite associated political and operational risks.

Tosyali Holding forecasts a steel production increase to over 13 million metric tons in 2025, a 42.5% rise from 9.12 million metric tons in 2024, with an anticipated turnover of $9 billion. This positions Tosyali as Europe's third-largest steel producer.
The company has invested over $6 billion over the past five years into capacity expansion and technology upgrades across nearly 50 facilities in Europe, Africa, and Asia. Major projects include expanding the Iskenderun plant in Turkey, building direct reduced iron facilities in Algeria, and constructing an 8.1 million metric ton complex in Benghazi, Libya, which presents significant strategic and operational challenges.
