TPSODL Enhances Power Infrastructure in Sunabeda, Benefits 7000 Consumers
TP Southern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL) has upgraded the power distribution infrastructure in Sunabeda, Koraput district, by increasing the substation capacity from 11.3 MVA to 16.15 MVA with the installation of an 8 MVA transformer. This initiative aims to improve voltage stability and support the rising electricity demand. Approximately 7,000 consumers in and around Sunabeda will benefit from the enhanced reliability and stability of power supply.

TPSODL has strengthened the power infrastructure in Sunabeda, Koraput district, by commissioning an 8 MVA transformer at the Sunabeda Primary Substation, raising the total capacity from 11.3 MVA to 16.15 MVA. This upgrade addresses voltage issues and accommodates the growing power load.
The substation now operates with three transformers: 3.15 MVA, 5 MVA, and 8 MVA, improving load distribution and reliability. Approximately 7,000 consumers, including areas like Sunabeda NAC Town and Jadaguda, are expected to experience enhanced power supply with fewer fluctuations.
TPSODL also refurbished the 33 kV line and installed a new bus bar arrangement to ensure efficient handling of electrical loads. The infrastructure enhancements aim to meet future electricity demands and support local economic growth.
