Transmission Company of Nigeria Secures Over $1.3 Billion for Nationwide Transmission Projects
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announced ongoing transmission projects exceeding $1.3 billion, funded by multilateral partners to enhance grid capacity and power delivery. Projects include the $486 million Nigeria Electricity Transmission Project by the World Bank and other initiatives supported by Agence Française de Développement and the African Development Bank. TCN is also pursuing digital transformation through an ERP solution and enhancing security with CCTV installations nationwide.

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is implementing transmission projects valued at over $1.3 billion, funded by multilateral agencies to improve grid capacity and power delivery. Key projects include the $486 million Nigeria Electricity Transmission Project by the World Bank, the $170 million Abuja Transmission Project, the $200 million Northern Corridor Project by Agence Française de Développement, and the $210 million Nigeria Transmission Expansion Project funded by the African Development Bank.
Additionally, the Japan International Cooperation Agency is financing the $235 million Lagos-Ogun Power Transmission Project. TCN is also enhancing operational processes through an ERP solution and deploying CCTV systems for security.
