TrEST Academy to Develop Deep-Tech Talent for Kerala EV Industrial Park
TrEST Academy, established by TrEST Park in Thiruvananthapuram, aims to train over 200 professionals annually in semiconductor design and electric mobility. The initiative, supported by Higher Education Minister R. Bindu, will provide hands-on training and focus on pre-validation skills, contributing to the workforce for the upcoming Kerala EV Industrial Park (K-EVIP). The Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) will coordinate the initiative.

TrEST Academy, launched by TrEST Park in Thiruvananthapuram, will focus on developing deep-technology skills in semiconductor design and electric mobility, aiming to train over 200 professionals annually. The training will utilize advanced digital tools and emphasize pre-validation skills to reduce EV system certification failures.
Key training areas include powertrain engineering, motor-inverter validation, and VLSI design. The academy will also support start-ups with laboratory access for product validation. Coordination will be managed by the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC).
