Türkiye Launches Local Development Initiative to Boost Marmara Region Investments
The Local Development Initiative Incentive Program aims to reduce Istanbul's economic burden by promoting investment in 11 provinces. The program offers financial support and incentives to enhance local production and strategic investments across the Marmara region, with applications open until May 15.

Türkiye's Industry and Technology Ministry has introduced the Local Development Initiative Incentive Program, targeting investment across 11 provinces to alleviate Istanbul's economic pressures. Each project may receive over TL 300 million (approximately $6.7 million) in direct support and tax reductions up to 50%.
The initiative covers various sectors, including smart agriculture in Istanbul, automotive components in Bursa, and geothermal projects in Balıkesir. Applications are accepted until May 15. This strategy aims to diversify regional output and foster sustainable economic growth, potentially reducing Istanbul's industrial concentration.
