Turkey Launches 200-Hectare Geothermal Greenhouse Project in Manisa
Turkey is establishing a geothermal greenhouse industrial zone in Manisa, aiming to produce up to 96,000 tons of produce annually. The project will create approximately 3,500 jobs and is expected to generate an investment contribution of TRY 2.5 billion to TRY 3 billion.

A geothermal greenhouse project in Manisa, Turkey, will cover 200 hectares and is projected to yield 80,000 to 96,000 tons of fruits and vegetables annually. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has formed a legal entity to oversee the initiative, expected to employ 3,500 individuals at full capacity.
Financial estimates suggest an annual investment contribution of TRY 2.5 billion to TRY 3 billion, translating to EUR 46.6 million to EUR 56 million. The project aligns with Turkey's strategy to leverage its geothermal energy capabilities, which currently support 1.8 GW of power generation, accounting for 1.4% of total electricity capacity. The development may enhance regional agricultural productivity and contribute to energy efficiency in greenhouse operations.
