Ukraine Defense Forces Conduct Over 9,000 UGV Missions in March 2026
Ukraine's Defense Forces executed more than 9,000 missions using unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) in March, a significant increase from previous months. The transition to robotic systems aims to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks to personnel.

In March 2026, Ukraine's Defense Forces conducted over 9,000 combat and logistics missions utilizing unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), marking a substantial rise from earlier months, with 2,900 missions in November 2025 and 7,500 in January 2026. The total missions carried out by robots in the first quarter of 2026 reached approximately 24,500.
The Ministry of Defense reported that 167 UGV units were operational in March, an increase from 67 in November 2025. Additionally, military units can now order UGVs independently through the DOT-Chain Defense marketplace, facilitating more efficient logistics in high-risk areas. The emphasis on robotic systems in frontline logistics may mitigate personnel risks but could also lead to a reliance on automated solutions.
