UPEIDA has received environmental approval to construct an integrated manufacturing and logistics cluster in Unnao, covering 135 hectares. The project, with a budget of Rs 450 crore, aims to create approximately 19,000 jobs and enhance local industrial capacity.

The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has gained approval from the Ministry of Environment to develop an integrated manufacturing and logistics cluster (IMLC) in Unnao, encompassing 135 hectares. The project will allocate 75 hectares for plots, 24 hectares for green space, and the remainder for infrastructure.
UPEIDA submitted its final proposal to the state-level environmental impact assessment authority on March 13. This initiative aims to promote industrialization along expressways, with plans for 27 IMLCs across operational and upcoming routes, focusing on sectors like semiconductors and electric vehicles. Proximity to Sonik railway station and major highways is expected to attract investors.
