US$20 Million Clover New Energy Solar Project in Gweru to Enhance Zimbabwe's Energy Supply
Clover New Energy (Pvt) Ltd is set to build a 20 MW solar power plant in Gweru, Zimbabwe, at a cost of US$20 million. The project, part of a strategic partnership with China, aims to boost energy supply efficiency by August 2026. Minister Owen Ncube highlighted its role in achieving Vision 2030 goals. The initiative is part of a larger US$140 million investment to enhance local energy infrastructure and support industrial growth, with a focus on clean energy and job creation.
