USACE Initiates Project Delivery Modernization and Awards Brandon Road Contract
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Middle East District has commenced an initiative to enhance construction processes, engaging approximately 100 contractors to identify and address project delivery barriers. Additionally, USACE awarded a $113.8 million contract for the Brandon Road Interbasin Project, aimed at preventing invasive species in the Great Lakes ecosystem.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Middle East District is modernizing construction and project delivery methods to improve efficiency and quality for military infrastructure projects. The initiative began with a Town Hall event involving 100 industry representatives, focusing on identifying barriers such as regional obstacles and contractual challenges.
USACE aims to implement new collaborative models through pilot projects. Meanwhile, USACE awarded a $113.8 million contract for the Brandon Road Interbasin Project on April 11, which will enhance ecological defenses against invasive species. This contract follows the initial Increment I award and includes innovative deterrents and construction plans across multiple increments for effective ecosystem restoration.
