USGBC Advances Ethanol Initiatives in the Philippines and Taiwan
The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC) participated in a USDA Agricultural Trade Mission to the Philippines, aiming to strengthen U.S. ethanol exports to a growing market. Concurrently, a Bioethanol Mobility Initiative was launched in Taiwan to support indigenous communities and promote E10 gasoline use.

The U.S. Grains & BioProducts Council (USGBC) engaged in a USDA Agricultural Trade Mission to Manila, focusing on enhancing U.S. ethanol exports, with over 101 million gallons sent to the Philippines in 2025.
This mission coincided with the opening of a retail gas station offering E20 fuel, highlighting the Philippines' status as the largest U.S. ethanol trading partner in Southeast Asia, where U.S. imports meet about 45% of ethanol demand. Meanwhile, in Taiwan, USGBC and Sanyang Motor launched the Bioethanol Mobility Initiative in Taichung, donating motorcycles to support the Tmabun community and testing E10 fuel.
This initiative aims to demonstrate ethanol's performance and safety, potentially fostering broader biofuel adoption. The dual efforts in the Philippines and Taiwan underscore the growing importance of ethanol as a clean energy alternative in international markets.
