Uzbekistan and Japan Discuss $7.7B Energy Project Opportunities
Uzbekistan and Japan are exploring energy cooperation through seven prospective projects valued at $7.7 billion. This partnership aims to enhance infrastructure and renewable energy efforts, reflecting increased Japanese investments in Uzbekistan's energy sector.

Uzbekistan has engaged with Japan to explore seven energy projects valued at $7.7 billion. The discussions were led by Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov and Takeshi Hashimoto from the Japan Business Cooperation Committee.
Japanese firms have previously participated in 14 energy projects worth $5.6 billion, with an additional six ongoing projects totaling $2.6 billion. The talks covered areas such as high-voltage transmission line construction, green hydrogen development, and energy efficiency enhancements.
Both parties aim to strengthen their strategic partnership, focusing on modern energy management and workforce training. This collaboration presents significant opportunities for both nations in renewable energy and infrastructure.
