Vietnam's Aviation Authority Advocates for Sustainable Fuel Adoption
Vietnam's Civil Aviation Authority is directing stakeholders to integrate alternative fuels, targeting a 10% sustainable fuel use by 2035. This initiative is essential for reducing emissions and promoting energy transition in the aviation sector.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has mandated aviation stakeholders to explore and implement sustainable aviation fuels to cut greenhouse gas emissions. By 2035, the aviation sector aims to incorporate at least 10% sustainable fuel in specified short-haul flights, alongside transitioning all new passenger and ground service vehicles at airports to electric or green energy.
From 2027 to 2030, aviation units must evaluate the use of alternative fuels to partially replace conventional jet fuel and enhance their energy consumption data systems. This push towards greener operations highlights the urgency of environmental responsibility in aviation.
