VTT Launches FutureGrid Research Infrastructure for Advanced Power Grid Development in Finland
VTT has established the FutureGrid research environment in Otaniemi, Espoo, to facilitate the development and testing of next-generation power grid technologies. This initiative supports Finnish and international entities in addressing the challenges posed by the green transition, with Finland's electricity consumption projected to triple by 2040. The facility aims to enhance the resilience and security of electricity grids amid increasing demands from renewable energy, electrification, and technological advancements.

VTT has launched the FutureGrid research infrastructure in Otaniemi, Espoo, aimed at developing and testing advanced power grid technologies.
