POWER GRIDS & TRANSMISSION

Walters, Oklahoma, has approved a $4.3 million project to rebuild and enhance its electrical substation, which is over 60 years old. The upgrade will feature a dual wound transformer, increasing capacity and reliability by approximately twofold.

This enhancement will improve service quality, decrease outages, and support the city's potential for growth, including new subdivisions and businesses. The project follows other improvements in Walters and aligns with the city's entry into Oklahoma's Main Street program for downtown revitalization.
