Wolfspeed Files Patent Infringement Suit Against Navitas Semiconductor
Wolfspeed Inc has initiated a patent infringement lawsuit against Navitas Semiconductor, alleging violations related to its GaN and SiC technologies. The outcome may significantly impact Navitas's operational capabilities and market positioning in the growing power semiconductor sector.

Wolfspeed Inc has filed a lawsuit against Navitas Semiconductor Corp in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina, claiming that multiple Navitas products infringe several of its patents, including U.S.
Patent Nos. 8,169,005, 10,998,418, 10,886,396, 10,749,443, and 11,888,392. This legal action follows a notable decline in share prices for both companies, with Wolfspeed closing down 8.79% at $36.00 and Navitas down 8.14% at $13.99.
The lawsuit targets critical GaN and SiC technologies that are essential for electric vehicles and renewable energy systems. If successful, Wolfspeed could impose significant redesigns or licensing fees on Navitas, potentially reshaping competitive dynamics in the semiconductor market.
