Yerevan to Save 100 Million Drams Annually from Trolleybus Substation Digitalization
Yerevan will save approximately 100 million drams annually due to the digitalization of its trolleybus network substations, as announced by Mayor Tigran Avinyan. The new monitoring and control system, implemented in 2025 at 23 substations, automates previously mechanical processes and allows for centralized remote management.

Yerevan's digitalization of the trolleybus network substations is projected to save the city about 100 million drams annually. Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced this initiative during a meeting. The Yerevan Electric Transport CJSC has implemented a new monitoring and control system in 2025 across 23 substations. This system automates operations, enabling full control from a centralized remote location, including remote monitoring, technical parameter assessments, equipment management interventions, fire safety monitoring, and unauthorized entry tracking.
