Zhongke Yitan Advances Green Methanol-to-SAF Initiatives in Inner Mongolia
Zhongke Yitan has filed two major projects in Inner Mongolia with a combined investment of over 14.4 billion yuan. These initiatives aim to enhance green fuel production, specifically focusing on hydrogen, methanol, and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Zhongke Yitan's Urad Houqi project, with an investment of 6.935 billion yuan, is set to begin construction in September 2026 and finish by June 2029. This facility will produce 500,000 mt of green methanol and includes hydrogen production, methanol synthesis, and SAF production units.
Concurrently, the Chifeng project, valued at 7.5 billion yuan, is scheduled from May 2026 to December 2028, aiming for an annual capacity of 62,500 mt of green hydrogen, 500,000 mt of green methanol, and 100,000 mt of SAF. Both projects are designed to bolster clean fuel production in Inner Mongolia.
