45 Biogas Units Established in Maloli-Nagargao as Pilot Scheme by Agriculture Department
The agriculture department has launched a pilot scheme to establish 45 biogas units in Maloli village, Sattari taluka, aimed at providing economic and environmental benefits to farmers. With 38 units already installed, the project utilizes cattle dung to generate household gas, and if successful, an additional 100 units may be proposed next year. Beneficiaries will receive support through the agriculture department's subsidy scheme, facilitated by former panchayat member Prashant Marathe.

The agriculture department has initiated a pilot scheme to set up 45 biogas units for beneficiaries in Maloli village, Nagargao Panchayat, Sattari taluka. Sattari Zonal Agriculture Officer Vishwanath Gawas announced that if successful, an additional 100 units may be proposed for next year.
In the past two days, 38 units have been installed, with completion of remaining installations expected within four days. The biogas units utilize cattle dung to generate gas for household use. The feasibility study for the project has been completed, and all beneficiaries will receive support under the agriculture department's subsidy scheme.
Assistance from former panchayat member Prashant Marathe was crucial in the application process. The scheme aims to provide economic and environmental benefits to farmers.
