Aemetis, Inc. announced that its Universal Biofuels subsidiary in India has received approximately $24 million for the supply of over 27 million liters of biodiesel to three government-owned Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), with deliveries expected to continue until March 2026. This initiative aligns with the Indian government's aim to increase biodiesel blending from 1% to 5%, as outlined in the National Policy on Biofuels. Universal Biofuels plans to explore expansion opportunities in India, including production of other renewable fuels and is preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Indian stock exchange, pending favorable market conditions.
