AGC Vinythai Launches Expanded Chlor-Alkali Plant with thyssenkrupp nucera's e-BiTAC Technology in Thailand
AGC Vinythai has launched its expanded chlor-alkali plant in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, featuring the e-BiTAC v7 electrolyzer from thyssenkrupp nucera. This expansion increases caustic soda production capacity by 220,000 tons annually, supporting a rise in PVC production from 300,000 tons to 700,000 tons per year. The project marks AGC Vinythai's largest investment to date and aims to fulfill the growing demand for these chemicals in Southeast Asia.

AGC Vinythai has commenced operations at its expanded chlor-alkali plant in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, utilizing thyssenkrupp nucera's e-BiTAC v7 electrolyzer. This project boosts annual caustic soda production capacity by 220,000 tons and increases PVC output from 300,000 tons to 700,000 tons.
It represents AGC Vinythai's largest investment, catering to the rising demand for essential chemicals in Southeast Asia. The expansion enhances supply chain integration and operational efficiency, while the e-BiTAC technology optimizes energy use and improves production stability. Additional services were included in the project scope to ensure seamless operations.
