Bahula Naturals: Empowering Rajasthan's Pastoralists and Women Entrepreneurs
Bahula Naturals, founded by Aakriti Srivastava, addresses livelihood challenges in Rajasthan's desert communities by empowering women and connecting them to sustainable markets. The initiative aims to create a self-sustaining model that elevates pastoralists while ensuring fair compensation for their labor.

Bahula Naturals has emerged as a community-owned enterprise in Rajasthan, focusing on the livelihoods of pastoralist communities. Established in 2022, the initiative connects these communities with resources like high-quality seeds and animal feed, while incorporating biogas technology for clean cooking.
The business model also includes direct payments to women, enhancing their financial independence. Bahula has developed camel milk products, creating a market for camel dairy and preserving cultural practices. The enterprise has broken even and is expanding into e-commerce and international markets, with support from various local and global partners.
