BASF Launches Circalo Platform for Low Carbon Intensity Crops to Support Ethanol Producers Under Section 45Z

BIOPOWERBIOFUELS

BASF has introduced Circalo™: Low Carbon Intensity Crops to assist farmers and ethanol producers in meeting agricultural carbon intensity standards under Section 45Z. The platform combines xarvio FIELD MANAGER and xarvio BIOENERGY to convert on-farm data into auditable inputs for biorefineries.

It aims to enhance competitiveness by documenting practices like cover cropping and nutrient management that lower carbon intensity. Circalo will be operational for the 2026 growing season, facilitating verified low-carbon feedstock procurement and helping farmers capitalize on conservation practices.
