Belarus Plans Satellite Launches for 2027 and 2028
Belarus aims to launch new satellites in 2027 and 2028 as part of its national aerospace program. The initiative highlights advancements in Earth remote sensing and space weather monitoring, crucial for socio-economic sectors and disaster management.

In 2027, Belarus plans to launch three small spacecraft, with one developed domestically and two by Russia, completing development in 2026. For 2028, a joint Russian-Belarusian ultra-high-resolution satellite will be launched, featuring a resolution of 0.35 meters.
These satellites will enhance Earth remote sensing capabilities and monitor near-Earth space phenomena, aiding in predicting magnetic storms, which can impact power grids and emergency services. The first two Belarusian satellites, NASBSat-1 and NASBSat-2, were launched at the end of 2025, focusing on ionospheric monitoring and temperature anomaly detection, respectively.
