Bioenergie Friedland Plans New Combined Heat and Power Plants in Mecklenburgische Seenplatte
Bioenergie Friedland intends to build new combined heat and power plants in Friedland, Salow, and Altentreptow to secure energy supply for the next 20 years. The necessary permit under the Federal Immission Control Act has been applied for, with no significant adverse environmental impacts expected. The project includes modernizing existing biogas facilities and aims to enhance regional energy systems.

Bioenergie Friedland is set to establish new combined heat and power plants in Friedland, Salow, and Altentreptow, aiming to ensure energy supply for the next 20 years. The company has applied for the necessary permit under the Federal Immission Control Act.
Technical components will include cooling and exhaust systems, a SCR oxidation catalyst, a urea storage facility, and a transformer station. The State Office for Agriculture and Environment of Mecklenburgische Seenplatte conducted an environmental review and found no significant adverse impacts.
The project will adapt existing biogas plants and is estimated to cost around €1.3 million without heat storage. The final decision by the permitting authority is pending.
