BlackRock Acquires 6.99 Million Shares in Virgin Galactic Amid Debt Reduction
BlackRock has significantly increased its stake in Virgin Galactic by acquiring 6.99 million shares, raising its total ownership to 8.19 million shares. The move comes as Virgin Galactic reduces its debt by 75% and prepares for Delta-class spacecraft test flights slated for Q3 2026.

BlackRock has acquired an additional 6,991,516 shares in Virgin Galactic Holdings Inc., raising its total position to 8,188,652 shares. This acquisition coincides with Virgin Galactic's significant debt reduction of 75%, achieved through a $52.5 million debt-to-equity conversion.
The company is transitioning towards its Delta-class spacecraft, with initial glide tests scheduled for Q3 2026 and a target for the first commercial flight by Q4 2026. The upcoming Q2 2026 financial results will reveal the company's resource efficiency during this transitional phase, as it anticipates a cash outflow of $87 to $92 million. Investors will closely monitor the timelines for upcoming test flights to assess the path towards commercialization.
