BluSky and AED Finalize $8.3M Deal for AR1 Biochar Facility Expansion in Arkansas
BluSky has finalized an $8.3 million agreement with Associated Energy Developers to expand the AR1 biochar facility in Arkansas, aiming to produce 40,000 tons of biochar annually by January 2026. The project will utilize Vulcan Heavy pyrolysis units to convert organic waste into biochar and bioenergy, with commissioning expected in January 2024. This expansion also supports a $105 million supply agreement for biochar and may benefit BluSky's AR2 project.

BluSky signed an $8.3 million agreement with Associated Energy Developers to expand the AR1 biochar facility in Arkansas, expected to complete by January 2026. The facility aims to produce about 40,000 tons of biochar annually.
BluSky's AR1 was sold to WARB1 LLC, providing liquidity and enabling operations management. The project will use Vulcan Heavy pyrolysis units, capable of converting 5 tonnes of organic waste per hour into biochar and bioenergy, with commissioning set for January 2024. Additionally, the deal supports a $105 million supply agreement for biochar and may be applied to BluSky's AR2 project.
