Bohol Village Malingin Receives P7.4 Million Solar-Powered Water Desalination Facility
The island-barangay of Malingin in Bien Unido, Bohol, has received a P7.4 million water desalination facility, inaugurated on February 20. The solar-powered plant can produce 11 cubic meters of clean drinking water daily. Local officials, including Gov. Aris Aumentado and Rep. Vanessa Aumentado, attended the turnover ceremony. Barangay officials plan to implement a fee for water usage to maintain the facility, emphasizing the importance of basic services for all barangays.

On February 20, the barangay of Malingin in Bien Unido, Bohol, was presented with a P7.4 million solar-powered water desalination facility. This plant can provide up to 11 cubic meters (11,000 liters) of potable water daily, addressing the long-standing water scarcity issue in the area.
Key officials, including Gov. Aris Aumentado and Rep. Vanessa Aumentado, were present at the inauguration. The barangay council plans to introduce a P10 fee per water container to fund ongoing maintenance of the facility, underscoring the commitment to enhancing essential services in every barangay.
