Chemfab Alkalis has commissioned a new INEOS Electrolyser, replacing its 30-year-old second-generation model. This upgrade, which received all necessary consents and approvals, aims to enhance operational efficiency and optimize costs.

The production capacity remains at 180 tons per day, but the new electrolyser is expected to improve operating rates and reliability, leading to smoother operations and reduced downtime. Additionally, Chemfab Alkalis anticipates power consumption savings starting in Q4 FY 2025-26, which will bolster cost competitiveness in its energy-intensive operations.
