Chile's parliamentary group supports UN Resolution 2797, advocating for increased economic ties with Morocco. This partnership positions Chile as a trade gateway to Latin America and enhances Moroccan access to the Pacific region, indicating a strategic alignment between the two nations.

A Chilean parliamentary delegation, led by María Catalina Del Real Mihovilovic, endorsed UN Security Council Resolution 2797 during an official visit to Morocco. This support aligns with the proposed Autonomy Plan for Western Sahara, viewed as a viable solution to the ongoing conflict.
Chile aims to strengthen bilateral ties and establish Morocco as a gateway to Africa, while offering access for Morocco to Latin America. Trade between the nations has averaged 9.7% growth since 2003, with projections of reaching $80.2 million in 2025.
Key sectors include Chilean imports of Moroccan fertilizers and exports of copper and lithium. Future cooperation in technology, tourism, and desalination is anticipated, reflecting a relationship that transcends political divides.
