Dakhla and Dreux Sign Agreement for Renewable Energy and Waste Valorization Projects
Dakhla and Dreux have strengthened cooperation in agriculture, aquaculture, and renewable energy following a meeting in Dakhla. The meeting, chaired by Dakhla Municipal Council President Erragheb Hormatallah and attended by Dreux Mayor Pierre-Frédéric Billet, included a presentation by the GEDIA Group on projects in these sectors.
An agreement was signed to launch initiatives focused on marine waste valorization and sustainable waste recovery for biogas production. The project aims to protect Dakhla's unique ecosystem and includes an experimental micro-methanization process to convert organic waste into gas and fertilizers. This initiative aligns with the broader development of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region.
