Dung Quat Bio-Ethanol Plant Begins Production of E100 Ethanol
The Dung Quat bio-ethanol plant has restarted operations and produced its initial E100 batch, targeting full capacity by April 2026. This development is critical for meeting the E10 biofuel blending requirements, contributing to national energy security.

The Dung Quat bio-ethanol plant produced its first batch of E100 ethanol in early 2026 after resuming operations. The facility aims to achieve 100% capacity by April 2026, planning an output of 330 cubic metres of E100 daily, which is essential for the E10 petrol blending program.
In February, the plant delivered over 462 cubic metres of E100 to Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical JSC. The operator, Petrovietnam Central Region Bio-fuel Joint Stock Company BSR-BF, signed a business cooperation contract in August 2025 to expedite maintenance and repairs. This initiative supports the broader goal of increasing biofuel utilization and enhancing fuel supply stability.
