Eclipse Small Satellite Launcher Set for 2026 Testing in Brittany
Eclipse, a small satellite launcher, is set for engine testing in 2026, weighing 20 tonnes with a thrust of 24 tonnes. Designed for payloads of 150 to 200 kg, it focuses on sustainability through revalorization.

The Eclipse launcher will measure 18 meters in length and 1.20 meters in diameter, with a planned payload capacity between 150 and 200 kg at a target altitude of 600 km. Engine tests are slated for summer 2026 in Brittany.
Eclipse will utilize liquefied biomethane and liquid oxygen as fuel. Although not reusable, the launcher emphasizes revalorization, reflecting a commitment to sustainability in satellite launch operations. This project, backed by Le Poool x La French Tech Rennes-Saint-Malo, has potential implications for the small satellite market and environmental practices in the aerospace sector.
