Ence Plans Significant Growth in Biomass and Renewables by 2030

Ence seeks to triple its operating profit from its renewables segment by 2030, focusing on biomass conversion into various energy forms. The company manages over two million tonnes of biomass annually, making it the foremost biomass manager in the Iberian Peninsula.
Ence targets annual biomethane production exceeding 1 TWh, contributing over €60 million to EBITDA, supported by a pipeline of 42 projects, 25 in permitting, and one operational facility at La Galera. Its subsidiary Magnon plans to produce 2 TWh of thermal energy by 2030, aiming for over €40 million in EBITDA. Additionally, Ence is exploring biogenic CO₂ utilization for renewable fuels, leveraging its annual generation of over four million tonnes of biogenic CO₂, which represents about 50% of Spain's total.
