EnviTec Biogas Completes Biomethane Project in Slovakia
EnviTec Biogas has launched a gas upgrading plant in Slovakia, enhancing biomethane production capabilities. This project aligns with Slovakia's broader renewable energy investments, supported by EU funding.

EnviTec Biogas has commissioned a gas upgrading plant in Ožďany, Slovakia, capable of processing 750 Nm³/h of biogas, with a long-term goal of reaching 1,300 Nm³/h. The facility complements an existing biogas plant operational for 14 years, utilizing maize and livestock waste.
Slovakia's renewable energy sector is bolstered by €103 million in EU Recovery Fund support for new projects. Additionally, 34 biogas plants in Slovakia are identified to have biomethane production potential, reflecting a regional trend where biomethane is seen as a key component in decarbonisation strategies. The successful implementation of this project may influence further investments in renewable energy infrastructure.
